Dear Blockbuster, You’re Fired.

The other day when my dad was in town we were talking about what movie to rent for the night. I mentioned National Treasure, the first one (which he had not yet seen) and my kids went nuts… they love those movies. So we ran our errands–one of them being the mandatory swing by the Texas Stop Sign for some ice cream. Side story: we learned it is against DQ’s corporate policy to put a cherry on top of an ice cream cone. There’s just no way to explain that to a 5-year-old girl.

So anyway, we get to Blockbuster and I’ve got a $5 bill burning my fingers. I’m ready to pay $3.23 more than I should for a movie rental (Redbox, you guys rock. Let me know if you want some feedback on how to make your idea become even more of an American institution.) Continue reading…
